Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-23.2 · Last updated: October 23, 2026
These Terms are a contract between you and XOMG Limited, the operator of AccountFUN.com and the AccountFUN bookkeeping service (referred to here as “AccountFUN”, “we”, or “us”). Our company address is 50 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
You accept these Terms by selecting “I agree” in the AccountFUN app or, to the extent permitted by applicable law, by accessing or using the Service after being given notice of these Terms and a reasonable opportunity to review them. Use includes access through our website, API, MCP, connected applications, AI assistants and automated integrations acting on your behalf. We may require affirmative acceptance before allowing access to particular features or continuing in the app. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service and financial disclaimer
AccountFUN is cloud bookkeeping software for recording transactions, importing data, reconciling accounts, managing invoices and bills, and generating reports. The Service is a tool, not a bank, payment institution, accountant, auditor, tax adviser, lawyer, or fiduciary.
The Service is intended for business use, including by sole traders, and is currently offered to businesses in Hong Kong and the United States. It is not designed for personal or household bookkeeping. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You are responsible for checking the completeness and accuracy of records, reconciling account balances against bank statements and other source documents, reviewing imported and automated entries, and verifying reports, tax treatment and payment instructions before relying on them. Before submitting financial statements, tax returns or other statutory filings, or making material financial decisions, you must obtain review by an appropriately qualified accountant, tax adviser or other professional where required by law or reasonably appropriate to the nature and significance of the matter. AI-assisted and automated outputs require the same review.
AccountFUN does not replace your accountant, tax adviser or statutory auditor and does not perform an audit or certify that your records, reports or filings are accurate, complete or compliant. You remain responsible for arranging any legally required audit, providing complete records to your advisers and auditors, and considering and addressing discrepancies they identify. Use of the Service does not discharge your record-keeping, reporting or filing obligations.
2. Accounts and authority
You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and legally able to contract. Keep registration information accurate, protect credentials and MFA, and promptly report suspected compromise to support [at] accountfun [dot] com. You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for ensuring that data about your customers, suppliers, employees, or other people is lawfully provided to us.
3. Your data and our licence
You retain your rights in financial records, files, contacts, and other material you submit (“User Data”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, transform, back up, and otherwise process User Data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and prevent abuse. We do not use User Data to train general-purpose AI models.
You are responsible for accuracy, lawful collection, permissions, and independent backups. We may create aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you to operate and improve the Service.
Keep regular, independent exports and backups of User Data outside the Service, including records you must retain by law. Our recovery backups do not replace your statutory record-keeping obligations. Software errors, outages, sync failures, third-party API changes, or hardware defects can result in data loss or corruption. Any liability for that loss is subject to section 9 and applicable law; this section does not remove our data-protection or contractual obligations.
4. Subscriptions, payment and refunds
Paid plans renew for the period shown at checkout until cancelled. Prices, taxes, billing dates, renewal terms, and plan limits are shown before purchase. Stripe processes payments; you authorise recurring charges and must keep payment details current. Cancel in account settings or contact support. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally leaves access until the paid period ends.
Free access is ongoing, subject to the published plan limits and these Terms. No credit card is required to activate a new Free business. Activation requires your name and organisation name and creates no charge, paid subscription or automatically converting trial. A paid upgrade requires your explicit purchase confirmation. Each organisation has its own plan. Any separately agreed trial continues on the terms shown when it was started. Paid fees are billed in advance for each billing period and, unless mandatory law gives you a stronger right, are non-refundable once a billing period begins. Nothing here limits statutory consumer cancellation or refund rights.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently, to infringe rights, send spam, evade limits, upload malware or unlawful content, probe or bypass security except for good-faith research permitted by our security and vulnerability disclosure policy, reverse engineer except where law permits, resell access without permission, or use automated access in a way that harms the Service or other users. We may investigate and take proportionate action.
6. Integrations
Imports and connections to Google, Microsoft, Stripe, email providers, and other third parties are subject to their terms and availability. You authorise us to exchange data as needed for an integration you enable. We do not control third-party accuracy, security, or uptime.
Bank feeds are provided through Plaid Technologies, Inc. (“Plaid”). By connecting a bank account, you authorise us and Plaid to access account details (such as the account name, type, and account and routing numbers) and transaction history from the institutions you select, solely to import and populate your bookkeeping records. Connections are subject to Plaid’s terms and each institution’s availability. You may disconnect an account in the Service at any time, and we will stop retrieving data for it.
When you authorise an external application or AI assistant through our API or MCP connection, it can access data and perform actions within the permissions you grant and your organisation role. Review the provider’s terms and data practices before connecting it. You can revoke its access in the Service; revocation stops future authorised access but does not delete copies the provider has already received. Review automated changes and AI suggestions before relying on them.
7. Intellectual property
AccountFUN and its licensors own the Service, software, designs, documentation, and branding. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no rights are transferred. Feedback may be used without restriction, provided it does not identify you or disclose your confidential information.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service or cancel your account. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, security risk, unlawful conduct, breach, or where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, with notice where practicable. We will provide a reasonable opportunity to export User Data where legally and operationally possible. Cancelling a subscription does not delete an organisation or its records. Deleting your user account does not delete records held by an organisation that continues to use the Service. Use the relevant deletion controls or contact support to request deletion and, if access is restricted, help with an export. The Privacy Policy explains retention, including backups and acceptance evidence. Clauses intended to survive termination do so.
9. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or complete results.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, special, incidental, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the subscription fees paid by you that are attributable to the six months immediately preceding the first event giving rise to those claims or (b) USD 100. Fees paid for annual or other prepaid subscriptions are allocated proportionately over the service period they cover, regardless of the payment date. This is an aggregate limit, not a separate limit for each claim. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or statutory consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms limits your obligation to pay valid fees.
10. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AccountFUN and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and suppliers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: your User Data and your lawful authority to provide it; your breach of these Terms; your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, or proprietary rights; or any tax audit, penalty, filing, or financial discrepancy resulting from your reliance on the Service. This section does not apply to claims caused by AccountFUN's gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or breach of these Terms, and does not limit any right or remedy you may have as a consumer where law restricts such indemnities.
11. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Hong Kong law, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Hong Kong courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EU/EEA, UK, US, or elsewhere may bring claims in any forum and under any mandatory protections available where they live. EU/EEA consumers may also use the courts of their place of residence. We will try in good faith to resolve disputes through support [at] accountfun [dot] com before formal proceedings.
12. Changes
We may change these Terms. We will publish the new version and update the date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice by email or in the Service. The notice will identify when the updated Terms take effect and give you a reasonable opportunity to review them before they apply. To the extent permitted by applicable law, your continued use of the Service after that effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms and acknowledgement of the updated Privacy Policy, including when use continues through the API, MCP, a connected application, an AI assistant or an automated integration acting on your behalf, without another visit to the app or an acceptance click. You are responsible for stopping integrations acting on your behalf if you do not agree. We may also require affirmative acceptance in the app or for particular changes. The AccountFUN app records the version, document text, timestamp, identity snapshot, IP information, and document hash for each affirmative acceptance. Continued use does not replace express consent, a mandatory notice or a separate approval where applicable law or a separately signed agreement requires it. Acknowledging the Privacy Policy does not itself consent to optional processing or a new purpose that requires consent. If you reject a change, you may stop using the Service and contact support to arrange an export and cancellation without accepting the new version.
