Two routes. The same clear books.

Choose how your transactions arrive. Once they’re here, you reconcile them in exactly the same way.

01 / Aggregator bank feeds

Your bank, connected through Plaid.

Plaid is the connection service between your bank and AccountFUN. Select your bank, authorise access and choose the accounts to sync.

Before you connect

A few practical questions.

What banks does it connect to?

Import CSV statements from your bank to reconcile your accounts. Supported US bank and card accounts can connect through Plaid; check availability for your account during setup. See how to connect with Plaid →

What if my bank isn’t on the list of available feeds?

For a US bank, choose “Other banks” in the bank picker to search through Plaid. If your bank still isn’t supported, export a CSV statement from your bank and import it into AccountFUN. You can use the same matching, bank rules and reconciliation tools without an automatic feed. Read the CSV import guide →

Can I use feeds for some accounts and CSV imports for others?

Yes. Choose the method that works for each account: Plaid, a supported shared-spreadsheet feed, or CSV imports. They all bring bank lines into the same reconciliation workflow, so you don’t need every bank to support the same connection method.

What counts towards my feed limit—and are transactions limited?

One live provider login counts once, even with several child accounts. Each active remote-file feed also counts once. Standard includes 4 automated connections and Plus includes 10. Manual local statement imports use no connection allowance. There are no paid add-ons or automatic overage charges.

How often do new transactions arrive?

Plaid feeds import new transactions automatically, while shared-spreadsheet feeds are checked on a schedule and also offer a manual Fetch Bank Feed action. Timing depends on when your bank and feed provider make the data available; updates are not necessarily instant. With CSV imports, you choose when to upload the next statement.

Do bank feeds or bank rules post transactions automatically?

A feed brings in statement lines for reconciliation. Bank rules recognise familiar transactions and suggest details such as the category and contact. You still review and confirm the match or apply the rule before the accounting entry is posted.

Can I match one bank deposit to several invoices?

Yes. Use Find & Match to select the invoices or payments that make up the deposit. Review the selected total against the bank amount before confirming. This is useful when a customer pays several invoices together.

Can I reconcile accounts in different currencies?

Yes. Each bank account keeps its own currency, while your books use your organisation’s base currency. When a posting crosses currencies, you review and confirm the exchange rate or enter your own. Transfers between accounts in different currencies also prompt you to confirm the rate. Read about multi-currency accounting →

What happens if I disconnect a bank feed?

Disconnecting stops future imports from that feed. Statement lines already imported and their reconciliations remain in AccountFUN. You can reconnect later or continue importing statements manually.

What if I match a bank line to the wrong transaction?

Open the reconciled line and use Unreconcile to return it to the reconciliation queue, then choose the correct match. Transactions created during reconciliation may need reversing as part of the correction. Corrections respect your organisation’s accounting lock date. Read how to correct a match →
