Is my accounting data safe and private when I connect AI?

You choose the organization and permissions when connecting. The assistant can only access records and perform actions allowed by both your grant and your AccountFUN role. Approval and money actions require separate opt-in access, and changes are recorded in the audit trail.

Data returned to your assistant is shared with its provider. Check that provider’s privacy, retention and model-training settings before connecting or sharing sensitive documents. You can revoke the connection to stop future access, but this does not remove data already shared. AccountFUN does not use customer data for general-purpose model training. Is there an AI chatbot inside AccountFUN?

This workflow uses a compatible external AI assistant connected to AccountFUN’s remote MCP server. You chat in your assistant and review the accounting records in AccountFUN.

Can AI read the receipts in my AccountFUN files?

No. MCP tools do not open files stored in AccountFUN. Share a receipt in your assistant’s chat for it to read. After a draft is created, use the short-lived upload link to attach the original to AccountFUN. These are separate steps.

Will it approve bills or make payments on its own?

Bill and invoice creation produces drafts. Approval and money-moving tools need separate opt-in access and your role’s permission. Authorized money actions can post immediately, so choose your access carefully. Review the draft, amounts, accounts and tax treatment before approval.

What should I check in an AI-generated result?

Check extracted receipt details, supplier matches, account coding, tax treatment and report periods. AI can make mistakes. Use the underlying AccountFUN documents and reports to verify its work.

Do I need a separate AccountFUN plan?

API and MCP connections are included in both AccountFUN plans. Your assistant may require its own paid plan for custom connectors. Follow the setup guide for current client-specific requirements.
